Although it was a weekday evening on my visit, there were quite a few customers, but fortunately, there was no waiting. As I was leaving after the meal, most of the tables were occupied. I ordered the large size of braised cutlassfish. I was truly surprised by the generous portion when the food arrived. The spicy and sweet sauce had deeply penetrated the cutlassfish, creating a magical flavor that made me finish a bowl of rice in no time. The soft braised ray was also a delicacy; the flesh was incredibly tender and paired well with the sauce. The stone pot rice served alongside was glossy, and finishing it with savory scorched rice water was very satisfying.
